There are many different posture exercises that you can do. Some even from the comfort of your own home.

Here are 4 posture exercises that will help you improve your posture:

#1: Planks:

The major advantage of planks is that you’re working different muscles at the same time – the abdominal muscles, shoulders, and back.

Lie on the floor with your face down. Your palms should be alongside shoulders and your feet and legs together. Now,  raise yourself and make sure your arms are straight.

#2: Crunch With Twist:

Lie on the floor on your back with your knees bent. Your feet should be flat on the floor. With your hands behind your head, you’re going to work with your breathing. When you exhale, just lift your left shoulder off the floor and rotate it to the right. Then, you need to inhale and put the shoulder back in its original place.  Do the same for the other shoulder as well.

#3: Back Extensions:

With this exercise, you’ll be strengthening your back.   Lie with your face down and extend your arms straight above your head. While making sure that your head is perfectly aligned with your spine try to lift your shoulders off the floor, gently, one at a time.

#4: Shoulder Rolls:

Many people have bad posture because they spend their entire day working on a desk, typing on their computer. This is one of the best posture exercises for people in this situation.

For this exercise, you can either be standing or sitting. When you’re inhaling, raise your shoulders towards your ears and hold a few seconds. Then, exhale and pull the shoulders back down, at the same time. Just repeat this exercise 5 to 10 times, 2 or more times a day.

There are many more posture exercises you can do, but these are the easiest and you can do them anywhere you want.  You can also complement exercise by reading more about how to improve your posture.
